Once a judgment is obtained, how long before I get my money?

Unfortunately, there is no easy answer to determine when the money owed to you will be paid. Once a judgment is given you are immediately entitled to collect the funds that are owed to you; but actually collecting the funds and the amount of time it takes depends on a variety of factors including the financial state of the person from whom you are collecting. If the person who lost the case does not pay you, there are tools you can use to help you get your money such as garnishments, liens, and using a collection agency, review these websites for more information.
