FAQ - Civil Traffic Hearings

In the fall of 2024, the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) mailed letters to parents who once had an open dependency and/or severance case.

Did you receive a letter? Visit the DCS letter page for more information.

Can I contest the default judgment against me?

You may write a letter to the judge explaining why you are requesting that the default judgment be set aside.  The Judge may make a ruling based on your letter or set your case for a hearing.
