FAQ - Civil Traffic Hearings

In the fall of 2024, the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) mailed letters to parents who once had an open dependency and/or severance case.

Is any other kind of evidence, other than testimony, admissible during the hearing?

In rendering a judgment. The court will consider any evidence submitted by either side so long as it is relevant and material. Examples of other types of evidence include:

  • Diagrams
  • Photographs
  • Physical exhibits
  • Digital exhibits
  • Written witness statements, signed and sworn under oath
