Driving Without Insurance

In the fall of 2024, the Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) mailed letters to parents who once had an open dependency and/or severance case.

Did you receive a letter? Visit the DCS letter page for more information.

Can I get my license back after having it suspended for not having insurance?

Yes.  In order to do this, you have to show a Certificate of Insurance (an SR-22) from any insurance company licensed in Arizona.  There is an application fee and a reinstatement fee.  You are required to maintain proof for 3 years from the date of the reinstatement.
